To qualify for a return, all the following conditions must be met:
- The return is initiated within 30 days of the original purchase date*.
- The items are in original condition – unworn, unaltered, and undamaged.
• Footwear must be returned in the original shoebox.
• Accessories and outerwear must have original tags attached. - Items are not final sale.
The following are considered final sale and are only eligible for an exchange*:
• Items marked as Final Sale on the product page.
• Items discounted by 40% or more, whether marked down with a discounted price or reaching this discount after applying a promo code. - In-store purchases paid with Interac or cash must be returned in-store and are not eligible for online returns.
Note: Items that do not meet these criteria will not be eligible for a refund. Customers may request the item be returned at their expense, including any duties or import fees. If no return is requested within 7 days, the item may be disposed of. Final sale items are not eligible for refunds.
Restocking Fee: To help us offset the cost of processing returns, a small handling fee is deducted per order (not per item) when mailed back to our warehouse.
This fee cannot be waived except in cases where the return is processed as an exchange or for an approved warranty claim.
- Canada: $10 (plus applicable taxes).
- United States: $25 (plus applicable taxes)
- Note: The U.S. restocking fee reflects additional cross-border processing and transportation costs and is consistently applied to all U.S. returns.
Exchanges for Final Sale Items*
Final sale items are not eligible for refunds, but can be exchanged for a different size or an item of equal or greater value, subject to availability. How to Request an Exchange?
Returns in Store (Canada)
Online purchases may be returned/exchanged at any La Canadienne retail location in Canada.
• Bring your order confirmation number and the item(s) you wish to return or exchange.
• In-store returns are not subject to the $10 restocking fee.
Damaged or Incorrect Orders
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if your order arrives damaged or incorrect so we can assess the situation and make it right.
Non-Returnable Items
• We do not accept returns from La Canadienne retail boutiques. Items purchased in one of our retail locations are subject to the policies outlined on the store receipt.
• Third-party retailers (please refer to their individual return policies and contact them directly).
• Gift Cards
Refunds
A confirmation email will be sent once your refund is issued.
Refunds are processed only to the original payment method, and exclude:
• Original shipping costs
• Sales tax charged on shipping costs
• Duties or customs fees on international orders
• Currency conversion losses for foreign currency payments
While we refund eligible items promptly, banks may take additional time to post the transaction on your account.
Important: Purchases made in-store using Interac or cash must be returned in-store. These payment types cannot be refunded through online returns and must be processed at a retail POS with the original payment method present.
Processing Times by Region
Canada: Returns are typically inspected within 7 calendar days after arriving at our Montreal warehouse. Refunds are issued promptly after inspection.
United States: The return label tracks the package to our US sorting facility in Rouses Point, NY.
Please allow approximately 15 additional business days for the package to arrive at our Montreal facility for inspection and refund.
International: Customers outside Canada and the U.S. must request and receive authorization for any international return. Unapproved international returns will be refused. La Canadienne does not cover international return shipping costs.
International customers must use their own carrier to return merchandise to our Montreal warehouse.

Additional Guidelines
• Customers are responsible for ensuring items are securely packaged. Return the item(s) in their original packaging, which should be placed inside a shipping box or mailer to avoid damage during transit.
• La Canadienne is not liable for returned items until they are received at our facility.
• For packages that are returned to sender, refunds will only be processed after the item is received at our warehouse.
