Our signature footwear is made in our factory in Montreal Canada, one of the last family-owned Canadian shoe factories, with over 70 years of experience crafting footwear. Our employees are true craftsmen, whose skills and dedication to their trade are found in each and every pair of shoes produced.
We adhere to North American labor laws and meet all environmental standards regulating workplace health and safety. Providing a respected workplace for our employees is paramount to the success of our products.
Footwear manufacturing is a highly labor intensive process, involving as many as 36 different components and over 100 steps, for a single boot. Quality control is an essential ingredient to the finished product. Skillful eyes inspect each skin prior to beginning production. Every style made is inspected by hand before being packed. Great fit and consistent quality have become synonymous with La Canadienne.
